Help needed
Hello, I am the manager withe the USDA Forest service who manages the Camp Livingston area. I am in the process of seriously addressing the trash dumping, the unmanaged ATV ridding, illeagal shooting of trail signs, trees, trash can and rest room facilities. I am sending out a request to all honest descent people who want improve the recreational opportunities and make the area more safe form the few rougue actors. I need your help with this effort. There are more than a few rogue people whom are dumping trash into the camp livingston area. Certain areas lok like they should be labeled land fill areas, if you have ever been out there and really looked you would know. every day of the week people are there shooting their guns drinking beer and driving their atv’s, how do you expect to stop all of this especially by minimizing all that needs to be done? I think that more of an effort should be made to clean up a memorial site of central louisiana’s.
View CommentI’m really excited about the progress going on at Livingston, which is a huge WWII memorial site that should be enjoyed by the public. Perhaps closing it at night would help? I think this is when most of the problems occur. Many of the dumping areas have been cleared and with a little help from the public I think the dumping will cease. I am so excited and hope to see this wonderful area come together and finally have the attention it deserves!!
