Many of the streets in the camp were paved. Some of the bridges have fallen apart and the roads leading to them have been blocked off by the forest service. The roads you can not get to in a car are now part of the ATV trails system.
The parish and the forest service now have gravel roads connecting to the streets so local traffic can pass through the camp so the streets being used are in better shape that the side streets.
Take care when driving and look for defects in the road where the
concrete slabs meet. You do not want to drive to fast.
