I recently discovered camp livingston and i love riding 4 wheelers there. I am very interested in the history in which the camp has. I think it is soo awesome when we ride and find old structures and it amazes me that real soldiers use to train there. if you have any photos of the structures such as bunkers, pools, etc, please e-mail them to me. thanks
The art work at Camp Livingston was by German prisoner artists.
There were many talented artists there.
They painted beautiful name plates for desks, as well as performed janitorial work.
I really enjoyed your site. I have been going to Camp Livingston area for many years now. I have relatives in the area and like the ATV trails. Will check back again.
we camped at livingston this weekend got there fridaynight and took a night ride, the next morning the local ranger came over and said the trails where closed, talk about ruined my day. but we stayed the rest of theweeked and cooked a gumbo. we had a really good time. There is a 1-866 # posted on the board across from the bath roo that you can call and find out what trails in the kisatchie forest are open or closed. livinston is the greatest trails i have ever been on. to many people litter though, usually i go around the camp site and just pick up trash. Lets keep this place clean because if we dont we are gonna have to find somewhere else to ride and i dont think that any other place would have the history like livingston does. thanks

I’m working on a documentary about a newspaper publisher named Hank Greenspun. In 1942, he was based at Camp Livingston, and was editor of the mimeographed newspaper THE CAMP LIVINGSTON SENTINEL. I would very much like to find out if there is a copy of this around anywhere.
I grew up in the camp and go there every other day with some freinds from work. I know the camp pretty throughly and have plenty of videos and photos from the camp. I lost most of my photos but I have a few left. I still live on Camp Livingston rd. and usually walk, hike, or ride atv back there so if you want pictures of anything in paticular, let me know and I’ll get them for you. Great site by the way. I was checking it out to see what the buildings used to be.
