I came across this webpage while doing some family research. I can’t begin to say how excited I am!!! Camp Livingston is where my mother’s parents not only met, but were married. I had no idea any remnant of it still exsisted. My grandmother was a nurse, Lurline Lemoine; and she met my grandfather, Ed Morris who was an officer, in the hospital. I have no idea if he was assigned to the hospital or another unit on the base. Grandma said that her commanding officer, being an older gentleman, was the person who “gave her away”, as her father was no longer living. I thought this was a very sweet story to attach to an otherwise unpleasant time in our nation’s history. If anyone should happen to have a map that shows the location of the chapel, or a picture of it or the hospital, I would really love to see it posted!
